Keweenaw Peninsula in Autumn Color

Good afternoon everyone! Today I thought I would post a few more images that I took on my trip to Houghton. The first image was taken from the top of Cliff Range. The road you see down below is Cliff Dr, which runs parallel to US-41. It took quite a bit of work to get the car to the top of this mountain, but the view was well worth it 😀

While we were standing on top of the mountain we noticed this bird flying around. At first we thought it was a hawk, but now that we look at the picture closer it looks more like a juvenile Bald Eagle.

I actually took this photo from the car while we were driving up to Copper Harbor. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out, since the car was in motion and I was shooting through the windshield. 

This next photo was taken at the end of the Portage Lake Canal where it meets with Lake Superior. The last time I was there, about a year ago, I didn’t have a telephoto lens. This time around I was very excited to be able to get so close up.

And finally, this photo was taken on an unknown trail up near Copper Harbor. The colors in this particular spot were absolutely wonderful 😀
